The Transportation Department:
- Licenses,inspects, and regulates taxicabs
- Plans and executes special transportation services for City-sponsored events
- Participates on the regional, state and federal level to develop plans and programs to improve local and regional transportation
Geographic Area of Transit Services
The Annapolis Transit service area is about 23 square miles including the City of Annapolis and surrounding Anne Arundel County areas of Edgewater and Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold.
Public Transportation Services
The Public Transportation Services are provided through regular fixed route (connectors), shuttle and demand-response, ADA complementary paratransit services. All transit vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Individual portable oxygen tanks are acceptable on all transit vehicles.
Parking Enforcement & Management Services
The Parking Enforcement and Management Services include the enforcement of on-street parking, management of city owned parking garages and residential parking programs

The mission of the Parking service is to provide customer-focused, equitable and quality parking services through the enforcement of the city's parking regulations and management of its parking garages.
